70+ Breakfast Ideas

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s rightly so because if you have a proper breakfast, you will feel full for a long time and will not crave for food before lunch. Breakfast gives you the much needed fuel for the whole day. Here are some easy healthy breakfast ideas which I have put together to help myself and you.

A healthy breakfast recipe should ideally include three of the following food groups:

  • Whole grains – Whole grains are slow burning carbohydrates and hence keep our energy levels up till lunch time. Whole grains also give fiber, some essential vitamins and minerals. For example,
  • Proteins – Proteins help you keep full for longer.
  • Fruits and/or Vegetables – Add more fiber, Vitamins, Minerals and antioxidants from fruits / vegetables.
  • Nuts

Keeping this in mind, I have come up with a very easy way to plan breakfast. I keep it very simple for breakfast. Simple breakfast recipes which are no fuss, less hassle and very quick to make. I have charted out the basics and all you have to do is mix and match every day to dish out yummy breakfast every day. I have added our much loved Indian Healthy Breakfast options as well.

Whole grains or slow burning carbs Proteins Fruits and/or Vegetables

Nuts

Oats, Wheat, Ragi, Whole-grain cereal with at least 5 grams of fiber per serving, less than 6 grams of sugars per serving Eggs, Yoghurt, Milk, Sprouts, Peanut butter Banana, Berries, Melon, Oranges, Apples, Methi, Carrot, Peas or any seasonal fruits and vegetables

Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews, Apricots, Figs
