Vegetable au gratin is an easy, healthy, one casserole baked dish, which is quick and easy to make. Gratin is served with cute baked bread pizza and a nutritious black chickpea chana chat.
This meal was so much fun to make. I love one pot dishes and dishes which are easy to make. Healthy and quick vegetable au gratin, is steamy hot vegetables covered with white sauce and cheese. It’s full of creamy cheesy vegetable goodness. This continental dish is essentially served with some toasted or crisp bread. I served these with cute bread pizza. The bread pizza is soft with a crispy bottom and is made with white sauce and no cheese. My daughter didn’t pick the vegetables from the bread pizza and ate them as it is.
I also added a quick and protein rich chana chaat recipe with this meal. Watermelon adds the much needed freshness. Dry fruits and nuts are essential for the overall development of kids and hence I make sure my daughter eats some nuts during snack time. You also see a bottle of wild honey which we bought from Ooty on our recent trip. It’s nothing like the commercial honey and is not overly sweet. After this bottle finishes, I am only buying pure and wild honey.

Baked Vegetable Au Gratin with Chana Chat | Kids Meal #8
Vegetable au gratin is an easy, healthy, one casserole baked dish, which is quick and easy to make. Served with quick chana chaat (black chickpea salad)
- 1/2 cup Black chickpea boiled
- 1/4 cup Mixed peppers chopped
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Coriander chopped
Mix together all the ingredients and adjust the seasoning if required. Serve cold or at room temperature.
