This chocolate ice cream recipe is made with milkmaid and with cocoa powder. You have to simply mix cocoa powder with whipped cream and condensed milk before setting in the freezer. If you have an ice cream maker, then simply heat cream with cocoa powder and condensed milk and churn the ice cream in the ice cream maker as per instructions.
For a dark chocolate ice cream recipe, all you have to do is use melted dark chocolate instead of cocoa powder and you have yourself a melt in the mouth, decadent dark chocolate ice cream. Addition of choco chips, takes this ice cream to a whole new high!

Chocolate Ice Cream With Choco Chips
Chocolate ice cream with choco chips is rich, velvety and decadent chocolaty home made ice cream
- 1/2 cup Whipping Cream or 1 cup non-whipping cream
- 1/4 cup Condensed Milk or adjust as per your taste
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup Choco Chips
If using whipping cream, whip it till soft peaks or it’s very well aerated. We don’t need proper peaks only well aeration of the cream.
If you don’t have whipping cream, use regular non whipping cream as is in a bowl.
Add cocoa powder and condensed milk.
Mix well with light hands and add choco chips at the end.
Give a final swirl with choco chips. Cover the bowl, with a cling wrap or aluminum foil or a plastic lid so that the ice cream doesn’t come in contact with freezer air directly.
Freeze for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Remove the plastic lid, scoop out the creamy ice cream and serve immediately.
