Green goddess is the best salad dressing ever! It’s unique and aromatic flavor combinations make it absolutely gobsmackingly delicious in a Salad. It could be my love for Basil speaking, but you can’t NOT try it. Needless to say, it’s my favorite dressing so much so that I make this dressing along with Pesto and Pasta Sauce as soon as a big bunch of basil arrives at my house every week. It’s sweet with the aromatic basil, tangy because of the curd and light spicy because of the garlic. What is Green Goddess salad dressing?
So what is this green goddess you speak of? A classic green goddess is made with anchovies, scallions, parsley, tarragon, mayonnaise, chives, etc but there have been way too many variations which have emerged over time. People make this salad with buttermilk, basil and avocado as well. It’s very aromatic because of the herbs used. For my go to version of the green goddess dressing with ingredients easily available in our pantry is given below.

Buttermilk Green Goddess Pasta Salad Recipe
Green goddess is a salad dressing, named after it's green color and Godly taste. Have your taste buds dance with joy with this green goddess pasta salad.
- 1/4 cup Corn boiled
- 1/4 cup Carrots sliced and steamed
- 1/2 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/4 cup Farfalle pasta boiled
- 1/4 cup Broccoli florets steamed
- 1/2 cup Lettuce
For Green Goddess Dressing
- 1/2 cup Basil
- 1/4 cup Parsley
- 3-4 Cashew
- 2-3 cloves Garlic
- 4 tbsp Curd
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
Blend together the dressing ingredients. Adjust seasoning if required. Add more curd or water if the dressing is too thick.
Mix together corn, cherry tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, pasta and lettuce.
Pour the dressing over the salad and serve warm or cold.
