Kiwi slushie is a sour, sweet semi-frozen drink with a hint of sweet basil. It’s refreshing, with a perfectly balanced sweet and sour from the Kiwi fruit.
Kiwi is an exotic pretty looking fruit which never fails to add beauty to any dessert. Not only does it look pretty, it is high in nutrition. Kiwi is a powerhouse of Vitamin C and antioxidants. It’s a fibrous fruit so helps in digestion and is also known to induce sleep. It’s a good source of folate, Vitamins and Minerals. It’s said to be very good for pregnant women. It’s also good for your skin.
I have made a Kiwi Slush in this recipe with mint. You can either cut the fruit and freeze it to get a quick slush whenever you want or directly blend the fruit with ice cubes to get an icy cold kiwi slushie.

- 1 cup Ice cubed or crushed
- Basil leaves a few
- Honey - As per taste optional
Put everything in a mixer grinder and blitz it until you get a nice thick sushie.
If you feel that slushie is not thick enough, you can add more ice.
If the kiwi is not very sweet, you can add honey or sugar as per taste.
