This is an unusual slushie recipe with Lassi or sweet buttermilk and rose syrup. A very popular Indian healthy drink is frozen to make this Lassi slush recipe.
Our road trips to Mathura (as a child with my parents and relatives) was never complete without two things. A good roadside dhaba meal and a glass of Malai Lassi in a Kullad. Oh my heavens! The best Lassi I have ever had! It’s simply divine just like the place itself. I would give anything to be able to go back there and enjoy the divine Lassi.
Lassi is a very popular health drink, consumed widely in India. It’s made with full fat curd and sugar and various flavorings especially rose water. Here, I have flavored Lassi with rose syrup and froze it to make ice cubes. A quick blend and you get a summer slush which is healthy, flavorful and full of nostalgia for me. This Lassi slush is a must try!
