This is the simplest of meals and we love theplas at home. I make Methi Theplas, Palak Theplas, Carrot and Beetroot Theplas and many more variety. Theplas are soft and full of nutrition. Theplas are also the perfect food for travel. If you are travelling with kids, make theplas and take. They stay good for as long as 5 days sometimes (depending on weather conditions and storage conditions too).
Paneer Bhurji adds the protein content in this meal. To make paneer bhurji is pretty simple. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 1/2 cup of chopped onion, 1 tsp of chopped garlic and 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes. Fry till soft and cooked through. Add salt, pepper, very little garam masala powder, lemon juice and sprinkle some chopped fresh coriander. Mix well and serve warm.
For this meal, I cut the methi theplas in various shapes and served paneer bhurji in similar shapes. It was a matching puzzle for my daughter. The cute peanut butter and dry fruits bee, added the much needed charm and also health factor. A bowl of curd is a must every day for all of us. Salad with vegetables cut in cute pumpkin shapes made the meal all the more exciting.
With these creative meals, she has definitely learnt to like food and also generate interest in her about food. This is my fourth meal in the series of kids meals which are fun, creative, healthy and yummy. Take a look at the rest of the meals
