This recipe of honey and thyme walnuts is just perfect for those who don’t enjoy raw walnuts including me and my kid. Honey, thyme and lemon enhances the taste of walnut. You can eat it as is or put them over a bowl of curd or ice cream.
Honey and Thyme Roasted Walnuts Recipe
Thyme infused honey walnuts are sticky, fragrant and earthy, and pack a punch with lemon.
- 1/2 cup Walnuts (or 60 grams)
- 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 tsp Red Chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp Thyme
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
Roast walnuts for 7 to 8 minutes in a saucepan.
Once roasted, add butter and coat well. Roast for another one or two minutes.
Now transfer the warm roasted walnuts in a bowl.
Add honey, salt, red chili flakes, lemon juice and thyme. Mix well.
Keep in an air tight container for almost a week or 10 days.
