A simple and healthy strawberry smoothie recipe with homemade cream cheese is oh so refreshing. This frozen strawberry smoothie is creamy, tart, sweet and smooth.

There was a time, when I would flinch at the mention of a smoothie. Yeah, you heard that right! I used to hate smoothies before. I can’t really pin point on a reason, but it had to do with the texture and the fact that it was cold. I am a tea person and love my soothing, hot cuppa every day or multiple times a day or multiple times every day :-). I was unable to consume a cold and thick smoothie. And then I tried the strawberry cream cheese smoothie and fell in love with it! The rest is history!

This strawberry smoothie recipe has made me rethink smoothie once again or let’s just say I have a like relationship with smoothies now. I will try more smoothie recipes to bring myself to love them. The whole world is talking about smoothies. It’s recommended that you start your day with a healthy smoothie with a good dose of protein to keep you full for a longer time. And why not? It’s good for health and so much easier and quicker to make.

Well, these frozen strawberry smoothies are the easiest smoothie recipe. Smoothie is my addition to our lives, this month, towards a healthier diet for us as a family. I make one change towards a healthier lifestyle, every month or twice depending on how fast we adjust to it. Isn’t this a great way to introduce changes and not get overwhelmed with it! We slowly adapt and at the end come out as a winner.

Is strawberry smoothie healthy?

Strawberry smoothie is super healthy with immunity boosting and nutrient rich strawberries. Did you know that strawberries are a power house of antioxidants? Time for you to add more strawberries to your diet! This strawberry smoothie also has protein boosting cream cheese and yogurt and is sweetened with honey. You can avoid honey if you like your smoothies a bit tart or replace it with any natural sweetener of your choice. You can replace the cream cheese and yogurt with almond milk or coconut milk and honey with agave or natural plant based sweeteners, to make this smoothie Vegan. This strawberry smoothie will leave you feeling refreshed and will keep you full for a long time.

What is the difference between a smoothie and a milkshake?

Milkshake has more of the milk or ice cream where as smoothie is more about the fruit. Smoothies are healthier than milkshake if it’s made with fruit and natural sweeteners.

What can I add to a Strawberry Smoothie?

You can add oats in your smoothie to make it into a meal smoothie. You can add nuts and seeds to add more nutrition and essential oils in your smoothie. You can add banana to naturally sweeten your smoothie. This recipe of strawberry smoothie is made without banana.

A very easy and healthy strawberry smoothie recipe made with yogurt, milk and honey.

  • 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese paneer
  • 1/4 cup Curd or Yogurt
  • 1 cup Frozen Strawberries or Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence optional
  • 1/2 cup Milk of your choice
  • 2 tbsp Honey or any natural sweetener


  1. Put cottage cheese and yogurt in a blender and blend into a smooth paste.

  2. Then add frozen strawberries. If you are using fresh strawberries, then add a few pieces of ice as well. 

  3. Add vanilla essence, milk of your choice, honey.

  4. Blend till smooth and pour into a jug or a bowl.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy a fresh smoothie.
