It’s a very popular soup in Indian Chinese restaurants. Hot, spicy and tangy soup is served with crunchy fried noodles. You will not find Manchurian recipes in China as it has it’s root in Meghalaya in India. It’s a spicy, dark brown soup made with soy sauce, vegetables especially scallions and thickened with cornflour. Chicken Manchow soup is equally famous and delicious.

Veg Manchow Soup recipe made in a mug in 10 minutes in the microwave. This Indo Chinese Manchow recipe is a popular soup which is spicy, tangy and usually served with fried noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Coriander finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp Peas & carrot steamed
  • 1 tbsp Corn steamed
  • 1 tbsp Broccoli steamed
  • 1/4 cup Instant wheat noodles boiled
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup Vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Oyster sauce optional
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice optional

Instructions

  1. In a mug, place butter, onion, ginger garlic paste, coriander and red chili flakes. Microwave for 30 seconds.
  2. Mix through and add peas & carrot, corn, broccoli, instant wheat noodles, salt to taste, pepper to taste, vegetable stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce (optional), Lemon juice (optional).

  3. Microwave for 3 minutes or until done. Keep an eye on the mug and don't overfill it because it might spill otherwise.

  4. Serve hot.
