Homemade White Hot Chocolate Recipe | Caramel White Hot Chocolate

Snow white hot chocolate is the best drink to have in cold winters! It’s warm, comforting, velvety smooth and the caramel takes it to a whole new level! Forget the Starbucks, have a delicious hot chocolate at home!

My daughter calls this drink as snow hot chocolate and we loved the name she gave this hot and comforting drink! It does feel like snow. It’s soft, velvety and magical!

Since we love this white hot chocolate so much, we always make it in bulk with the ice-cube hack! Simply pour the melted white chocolate in ice-cube tray and freeze it! The addition of Caramel to this hot white chocolate recipe will leave you wanting for more. You can always skip it if you want but I would highly recommend it! Homemade White Hot Chocolate Recipe | Caramel White Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 120 gms White chocolate Bar or Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence optional
  • 1/4 cup Caramel optional
  • 2 cups Milk, Hot
  • Colored Sprinkles for Garnish

Instructions

  1. If using a bar, chop white chocolate into equal sized small pieces.
  2. Place the chocolate in a bowl.
  3. Microwave, in 30 second intervals, to melt the chocolate. Keep checking and stirring in between. For this quantity, it should not take more than 1 minute.
  4. Once melted and cooled down, add vanilla essence. Careful not to add vanilla essence in hot chocolate otherwise it may seize.
  5. Mix the vanilla essence and pour the mix into ice cube tray if freezing for future.
  6. If using caramel, pour 1/2 tsp caramel on top of each cube. I made 7 cubes out of this mixture. Keep the tray in the fridge until set.
  7. If you don't want to freeze, use this mixture to make white hot chocolate straight away.
  8. Take two glasses, slather some caramel on the edges of the glass and dip them in sprinkles. Garnish the glass with the left over caramel.
  9. Place one white chocolate cube each in both glasses or 1 tbsp of the white chocolate mixture (if using directly).
  10. Pour hot milk and stir to mix. Serve hot!
