Broccoli Tikki are healthy, nutritious snack made with broccoli, paneer (cottage cheese), potatoes, oats and Indian spices.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup Paneer cottage cheese, grated
  • 3/4 cup Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup Oats powdered
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic minced or finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint leaves chopped
  • Oil to shallow fry
Instructions
  1. Heat a pot of water and let it come to a boil. Water should be enough to submerge the broccoli.
  2. Once the water is boiling hot, switch off and put the washed and drained broccoli into this. Let it be there for 2-3 minutes to change the color to bright green and become a bit soft.
  3. Drain the broccoli and keep it aside to cool.
  4. Once cold, blend the broccoli in a grinder to a coarse mixture.
  5. Take broccoli into a bowl, add mashed potatoes, ground paneer (or cottage cheese).
  6. Now add oats powder and all the spices one by one.
  7. Mix the whole thing together and make small equal sized balls. Flatten them out to roll them into patties.
  8. Sallow fry to perfection and serve hot with ketchup or a homemade dip.
